How I Got from Plovdiv Airport to the City 🇧🇬

Getting from Plovdiv Airport to the city centre is no mean feat. This is my attempt at doing just that - hopefully it will provide some guidance for others planning to do the same.

I'm a big believer in planning and researching as much as possible before travelling, that way I get the most out of my time when I arrive at the destination. Quite often there’s a ton of information on the internet but when organising my transit from Plovdiv Airport to the old town of Plovdiv I found reliable, useful information quite hard to come by. That led me to making this short video of my experience – hopefully it will help others who are planning to make the same journey. Plovdiv is an incredible city but it's not the easiest place to get to.

In the video I aim to:
+ Show you the layout of Plovdiv Airport.
+ Explore the options available to make it from Plovdiv Airport to the old town in the city centre.
+ Work out the closest train station to the airport and how practical it is to use.
+ Look at best practice when using a taxi and the approximate cost of doing so.
+ Document how I travelled from Plovdiv Airport to the Kapana district in the centre of the city.

I was also told that there is a closer train station to the airport but information is limited. It seems to be a small station with a less frequent service. For more information see the link below...
