REGION THREE FOUR LANE HIGHWAY - INSIDER

A new four-lane highway in Region Three, running from the new Demerara Harbour Bridge to Parika, promises to open up thousands of acres of land for housing, large-scale agricultural projects, tourism and other activities. It will be one of the most significant and transformational infrastructural projects to be undertaken in this country and the President is taking no chances; he is leading this. On Saturday, he pulled together a team of local experts in several government ministries and departments and had them drive as far as they could to demonstrate that it is not just all talk – it is really possible.
