Strolling Through the Old West Charm of Virginia City, Nevada - Coming Back to Life
The old west charm of Virginia City is like a time machine. Some of us recognize it from watching episodes of "Bonanza" and some know that the silver from the Comstock Lode essentially financed the American Civil War and made Virginia City the most important town west of the Mississippi back then. And now, after months of being shut down, it's finally coming back to life again. We visited on Memorial Day and although some of the restaurants and saloons haven't quite made it back yet, most of the shops and attractions are open. Take a little stroll on the wooden sidewalks of "C" Street to soak up the atmosphere, do a little shopping to support the local economy and then maybe cool off with a drink at the historic Red Dog Saloon. We will return and explore more of Virginia City very soon!
