BROWNSEA ISLAND - Exploring National Trust Island in Poole Harbour, Dorset

While on our Dorset holiday we ventured across to explore Brownsea Island. Brownsea Island is a National Trust owned island located in Poole Harbour in Dorset, England.

Brownsea Island is accessed by ferry from Poole Quay, and the ferry takes you directly across to this National Trust island. In this video, I explain how to get to Brownsea Island, including the Brownsea Island ferry details.

Once we arrived at Brownsea Island we spent time exploring this beautiful island, enjoying the walking trails, the natural play areas and the gorgeous beach. We also did some wildlife spotting (lots of peacocks but sadly no red squirrels!) and saw the site of the first Scout camp. The first Scout camp was run by Robert Baden-Powell himself on Brownsea Island.

We had such a great time exploring Brownsea Island before we had to get the ferry back across to Poole Quay. A brilliant day out in Dorset!
