2019 Winter Pride praises stunning performance by Brian Kennedy.

Brian Kennedy is no stranger to large venue and therefor was not phased by Dublin's National Concert Hall. Born in the Fall's Road two years before the outbreak of The Troubles he suffered as a child he suffered from Osgood–Schlatter disease in each leg. Later in life he would successfully battle cancer. With such a back story it would be easy to imagine a lesser being concluding fate has dealt them a losing hand, but Brian was also blessed with matinée looks, a world class voice and charisma to burn. He is also a successful author and was awarded a PhD by Queens University Belfast (QUB) for his contributions to the Arts.

Besides representing Ireland in the Eurovision song contest, he has had a string of hit singles and albums in Ireland, UK and globally. As a tribute to his talent and community standing Catholic Kennedy was invited to sing at the funeral of one of Protestant Ulster's favourite sos, George. In the first of two appearances and Winter Pride, this consummate entertainer had an audience eating out of his hand as he wowed them with his rendition of the late George Mchael's seasonal - classic Last Christmas.
