Venture to the Vile Metroidvania Review - Soulsborne Seeker

Venture to the Vile is an action-adventure platformer metroidvania game with minor souls-like elements!

Venture to the Vile transpires in the odd little town of Rainybrook, a quaint place where all inhabitants wear animal masks as part of their tradition. Unfortunately for them, a mysterious event leads to the birthing of the Vile, a corruptive substance that spreads like the plague across the town, twisting the flora and fauna into dangerous and aggressive predators that prey on those who have avoided its taint. You step into the role of Vincent, a man born and raised in Rainybrook, who becomes infected by the Vile during an accident that nearly claims his life. As luck would have it, Vincent is saved by the mysterious Dr. Crow, who informs him that, for some reason, his body is not only resisting the Vile but utilizing its mutations to make him stronger and, as a result, capable of fighting back against the abominations birthed by the corruption. Thus, Vincent embarks on a journey to discover and destroy the source of the Vile while at the same time searching for his childhood friend, Ella.
