🔥 A vehicle fire has closed the M1 northbound at J47 (Parlington Interchange / A642 / A656) near Garforth in West Yorkshire. 🚧 The northbound carriageway is fully closed while emergency services attend the scene — the incident has been ongoing for 40 minutes. ⏰ Delays are building during the evening on this stretch of the M1 east of Leeds linking the M62 with the A1(M) at J42. 🚗 Drivers heading northbound towards Wetherby, the A1(M) and the North East should expect queues on approach from J46 (Austhorpe) and may wish to leave at J46 and use the A63 through Garforth to rejoin at J47 or access the A1(M) via the A642 and A656. 🚛 HGV and freight traffic should allow extra time as this section of the M1 carries heavy commercial volumes between the M62 and the A1(M).
