Heat Pilot Won't Light

I am on a no heat call where the homeowner couldn't light the pilot. I look into the boiler heater gas burner section to examine the pilot assembly. the thermocouple tip looked burnt and the pilot hood was caked up with white powder. Therefore I clean the pilot assembly and replace the thermocouple. Next, I light the hot water boiler pilot and the thermocouple activates the pilot valve. Finally, I turn the gas valve on and the boiler burners light up.
