On February 13th 2023 #guitarist #JAREDJAMESNICHOLS - on a mission to bring back #bluespower to the masses - was our special guest live @ Linea Rock, interviewed by yours truly BARBARA CASERTA. Such a cool and nice guy, instantly friendly! He was in Milano for a promo gig, to present his 3rd and self-titled album out now on Black Hill Records. We talked: the essence of his sound and his hot blooded playing, the recent broken arm nightmare (a "Rookie Of The Year" kinda experience, heavy metal version!), living and recording in Nashville, his approach to singing and the evolution of it, grown' up “Down The Drain” with a goal, the secret of his pick-less technique, fronting a power trio, the rock revival organic feeling, touring and the bizarre yoyo-effect (club-arena-festival and back, overnight),, guitar heroes and guilty pleasures (be prepared! LOL), his “collegue” Bonamassa and the best deal ever, his great buddy Zakk Wylde (and of course Ozzy), John Sykes, being a Gibson ambassador and his own guitars, especially Dorothy (the '52 Gold Top that survived a tornado and he received as a gift - what a fantastic story! - which he brought in and even played for us!), plus his special way to shape a signature Les Paul model is absolutely brilliant!
