Touring Ireland - Exploring Cong and having a meet up in the Mourne Mountains

In this episode we continue our your of Ireland in our camper van Trudy. We arrive in the small picturesque village of Cong - the location set of the John Wayne movie the Quiet Man.

It is a beautiful village with lovely pubs, restaurants and shop and yet again the weather was very kind to us. We met up with a subscriber called Joanna who took us out into the surrounding countryside to her local pub called the Larches Bar- near Finney.

The pub welcomed camper vans so we parked up for the night and had a couple of drinks, whilst playing pool and sharing stories with the locals.

In the morning we started heading back towards Belfast. We are heading back to spend the week with my nephew Jasper - who's dream was always to go to the Titanic Museum in Belfast so we promised to take him when he finished school - so we're flying him out next week.

When we arrived in Galway we saw 2 hitchhikers -Lena & Rebecca so we picked them up. There we heading to a hostel in Dublin so we drove them into the City.

We then decided to carry on driving up towards Belfast and ended up back parked on the pier of Carlingford.

In the morning we met up with Armanda, Mel and their dog Ziggy from the channel Westfalia Digital Nomads - we have been following them for some time online so it was great to finally meet them.

Armando found a spot up in the Mourne Mountains next to a lake. We hung out with them for the day, sharing stories and the odd Guinness. After a lovely BBQ cooked by chef Armando - we got some beautiful drone shots of the area and the lighting was just perfect.
