Veterans Day 2021 // Honor The Flag

Since we started The Best Defense Foundation, we have taken so many veterans to schools all over the world. We think it's so important for young people to hear from these old warriors and hopefully be inspired by them. I mean, how can you not?

In 2019 we brought a large group of veterans to a High School in San Diego. When WWII Veteran, Gil Andre, took the mic, we all kind of looked at each other and smiled. Gil has stood up many times at our events and we love hearing him speak. But, he is known for making passionate speeches that take hilarious/innappropriate turns that can catch you off guard. Especially for a high school. So we were ready for anything hahaha.

When he finished his speech, we were breathless. The roar of the crowd quickly snapped us all out of our captivated states and we were all clapping and cheering. What he said was so powerful and a perfect reminder for all of us to remember what our flag represents. This veterans day (and every day) when you see that flag, remember what it stands for and what makes it fly. Thank you to all veterans, past and present, for your service and sacrifice.
