ANTIQUE & VINTAGE SHOPPING I FIVE-CHANNEL YOUTUBE MEETUP

Having such fun reliving our five channel meetup! In this video, I miss the group breakfast but explore a weekend flea market on the way to catching up at Lamon's Antiques, a fantastic furniture and quality antique shop owned by the mother of one half of "Fat Bird Finds."

Joining me at this meetup are: @FatBirdFinds, @RealNiftyVintage, @ThrifterJunkerVintageHunter and "Trusty Huckster Mercantile." If you haven't already subscribed to their channels, I suggest you do if you appreciate antique and vintage items!

The flea market proves that bargains aren't a guarantee, as I find better deals at the fancy antique store owned by Laura's mom! Then Jeffrey, Misty, Patrick, Laura, Mary Beth and I head to Paducah Antique Mall for more treasure hunting adventures.

Each stop reveals it's own kind of interesting finds. The flea market combines cool farm junk and advertising with furniture, tool displays and even a visual history of barbed wire. Lamon's delights include a tremendous 1910s general store counter, a stylish fruit carved mirror and a sweet and ethereal Fox print that Jeffrey discovers and lets me purchase! The antique Mall's entertaining selection varies from mid-century modern lamps and furniture and 1970s vintage toys to a space filled with a century-and-a-half full of clocks.

"Mind your beeswax!" is an oft quoted adage with roots steeped in one of the collectible items we find along the way. A clock that seems to work by magic and a starlet whose short shorts became a household phrase are fun discoveries along our journey.

The best part is the fun we have running around Paducah together! I love finding out that the online world of antiques and vintage translates to the real world as we share our passion and wonderful company.
