Moscow Commercial School (Moscow Imperial Commercial School) was a secondary educational institution for preparation for admission to higher commercial and technical educational institutions of the Russian Empire .

Full-time graduates of the Commercial School, in addition to receiving a certificate of secondary vocational education, received the title of candidate of commerce ; were awarded the title of a personal Honorary Citizen , if by birth they did not belong to the highest rank, and those who had hereditary honorary citizenship were awarded medals - gold, for wearing in a buttonhole on the Anninskaya ribbon, or silver honorary medals.

The school had good laboratory rooms, especially in chemistry and technology, surpassing in equipment and equipping the laboratories of many higher educational institutions. There was a large, well-chosen library, constantly replenished with the latest literature and a multitude of domestic and foreign periodicals, mainly natural science publications. The school had adapted drawing and drawing classes, a large gymnasium.
