Siopao Dough(Secreto sa malambot at maputi na siopao)
YEAST MIXTURE:
2 cups warm water
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon yeast
DOUGH:
5 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup white sugar
6 tablespoons(CRISCO vegetable shortening)or LARD
1&1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Let the dough rise for 30-45 minutes.
Prior for steaming add 2-3 tablespoon of vinegar to the boiling water for better and whiter result of the dough.
Steam the siopao for 15-20 minutes in low heat.
