This snail is actually dead but doesn’t know it. When a snail eats bird droppings, the green-striped sac worm inside sneaks into its body and starts growing. Soon, it completely takes over the snail.

Once it’s large enough, it forces the snail to move to open areas and climb to high spots. There, it uses the snail’s antennae to flash like signals, attracting birds. The bird eats both the snail and the worm. Inside the bird’s intestines, the worm reproduces and releases its offspring with the droppings. Another snail eats this, restarting the cycle.
