WhatsApp was founded by Jan Koum and Brian Acton in 24 February 2009. Jan Koum is a Jewish and from Ukraine by origin. Condition o Jews in Ukraine was very bad. He lived in a village where in house there was no electricity also. Somehow his mother and grandmother left Ukraine and went to America. But, they didn’t even had money to eat and were dependent on Government scheme called Food stamps. Her mother started working as a baby sitter and Jan Koum as a child worked at a shop. But, the difficulties of life couldn’t stop Jan Koum from pursuing his dreams. He studied very hard and got a good knowledge of Programming and Networks. Jan Koum dropped out of college and got an offer from Yahoo as Infrastructure Engineer. There, Jan Koum met Brian Acton. Both of them together founded WhatsApp after many years of working in Yahoo.
