Smith and Wesson 1854 - 44 Mag in Walnut. Why I bought this lever rifle and why you might want to.

I never intended to buy this rifle, but I am glad I did. My first impressions of this Smith and Wesson 1854 in, Traditional Walnut, lever action rifle are very favorable indeed. Of course, I have yet to fire it, but my confidence is very high that this will be one of my favorite and most used lever rifle. I love the look and feel of the walnut stock and hand guards. The fit and finish is very impressive as well. Oh, and it is feature rich with picatinny rail, threaded barrel (11/16 x 24 tpi), sling swivels, XS peep sights and a 9+1 capacity, this rifle fits the bill for many applications. And its a 44 Magnum!
