Заброшенная усадьба Святополк-Мирского, бэкстэйдж|Abandoned estate of Svyatopolk-Mirsky, backstage

Hello, Mikhail Kuzmin is with you and welcome to Forgotten Ukraine. Today we are in the estate of the princes Svyatopolk-Mirsikh.
The manor complex, built in the 19th century, is a Gothic building and a Nikolaevsky temple. Located in the village of Geyevka, Kharkiv region, Ukraine.
Dmitry Ivanovich Svyatopolk-Mirsky is a representative of an ancient noble family. He made an excellent military career from an ordinary jaeger regiment to an assistant to the governor in the Caucasus, Grand Duke Mikhail Nikolaevich.
In 1881, Svyatopolk-Mirsky was appointed governor-general of Kharkov, but already in 1882 he left his post. In a letter to his friend Leo Tolstoy, Dmitry Ivanovich wrote: You cannot move, much less direct others, not knowing where and why. That is why I stopped and lived in the village.
I wonder why the estate is called a princess and how did it get to Svyatopolk-Mirsky?
In the 17th century, after the failure of the uprising of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, those fleeing from the Right-Bank Ukraine came to these untouched lands.
It was then in the chronicles of the Kharkiv region, in the middle of the 17th century, that the name of Grigory Erofeich Donets appeared, who in eight years, having made a gorgeous career in the Kharkov Slobod Cossack Regiment from an elected Cossack to the first colonel confirmed by a royal diploma, received Geyevka in the 1670-1680s. This is how the first official owner appeared at those living on the banks of Merefa near Lyubotin.
Later, the land passed to his son Fedor Grigorievich Donets-Zakharzhevsky, who transfers Gievka to his daughter Praskovya as property.
After Praskovya Fyodorovna, the estate, together with the Temple, passed from hand to hand, and so it came to Vasily Grigorievich Maslovich. But due to the impossibility of maintaining the palace complex, he had to sell it and the village near Lyubotin in 1881 to the new Kharkov Governor-General Dmitry Ivanovich Svyatopolk-Mirsky.
The temple, originally built by the villagers, was wooden, later it was demolished and rebuilt in stone for the purpose of reliability. He survived both the First World War and was a military post for the German troops, and was also used as a warehouse. In 1995, the St. Nicholas community of Lyubotin was officially registered and a gradual revival of the unique architectural monument began.
The last owner of the palace in Gievkei was a literary critic, literary critic, publicist, translator - the grandson of Dmitry Ivanovich, Prince Dmitry Petrovich, who died in 1939.
Further, all other restructuring of the gay complex was carried out without taking into account its historical and cultural value, but only for reasons of economic expediency.
Now the estate is awaiting confirmation of its official status as an architectural monument and a savior who will return it to its former beauty.
Now let's light this building up and look at its dark side.
Just look at this alluring picture, it seems as if right now we have moved into the past and see a still living estate with its former grandeur and mysteries that have not yet been solved.
I feel in these walls some kind of shiver and cold, every corner is teeming with an atmosphere of darkness. I am sure there is something here, in this estate, no matter what they say, but the knees give way.
The estate on Merefa under the Svyatopolk-Mirskys, who chose it as a family residence, continued to flourish until the coup of 1917, when human lives were buried under the ruins of the empire.
By the decision of the new authorities, the palace walls became the home for the first boarding school in the area. But something went wrong ... When it got dark, the children could not sleep for hours, and when they fell asleep, they had nightmares with a bunch of corpses. Every night, when the teachers made a round, they saw faces white as ash from the windows, which ate them with a gaze from afar, to which they began to read prayers in the evenings and put small icons in the children's bedroom. Maybe they were frightened by the children, or maybe it was a play of light from the lanterns, no one knows, but after a while the boarding school moved to Solodovka and the estate was empty.
In 2006, there was a fire in the building, its official reason remained unknown, but people say differently that the vandals walking along the abandoned fire started a fire and already in the evening they began to hear a rumble in the house, after which coals from the fire began to shoot directly at the guys, they got scared and began to run out when on the way they were already waiting for the columns of the rising fire. The guys managed to escape, but no one knew what it was.
If you listen, it seems that even now a slight hum can be heard. Probably now we will not see any ashen faces outside the window and fire, but I feel that all this was here.
The victims of the coup, the tormented children of the orphanage, the praying teachers and the fire with an unknown fire, could it be somehow connected?
