Does technical analysis really work? Or is it all nonsense - are technical analysis techniques even profitable at all?

This is a good question we received because it means this trader is actively questioning everything they hear or read about trading. That is a sign of a good trader... Are the market simply hitting a level and randomly bouncing? I want you to introduce you to the idea of digging into what is happening at these particular price levels. We have two things that are going to determine whether a market is going to bounce from a support level or not - we have sellers and buyers. For price to move lower, sellers have to be more aggressive than buyers. So when we're looking at the price ladder we have a scenario when price will move down when sellers become more aggressive (and sellers become more passive) and vice versa. When we get to support we have an instantaneous time when there is equilibrium. What causes this level to hold? Why do buyers come in at this support level? When you start looking under the bonnet you can see what is actively happening at these key levels. People are changing sentiment as price approaches these levels.
