Shared Ownership is one of the UK Government's Help to Buy schemes aimed at helping people to get on the property ladder who otherwise may not be able to.

I had considered shared ownership in the past but ultimately decided against it as I discovered there were what I felt to be some very fundamental flaws in the scheme.

So I'm sharing what I have learned about the UK Shared Ownership scheme and why it didn't work for me to give others a starting point to their research into deciding if it's right for them.
