Trump hush money prosecutor not going with the 'expected underlying felony'
Sky News contributor Megyn Kelly says the prosecutors in the Donald Trump hush money case are not going with the “expected underlying felony”.
Ms Kelly said she thought they would be focusing on the former president failing to declare the hush money as a campaign contribution.
“(Alvin Bragg) seems to be going someplace else entirely where he's just accusing Trump, the head of the National Enquirer – this tabloid magazine – and Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen, who’s going to testify against Trump, of having engaged in a conspiracy to win the election.
“’You engaged in a conspiracy to win, and all the things you did, which would have been perfectly legal had you done them six months earlier, magically became illegal because you did them kind of close to an election’.
“That’s really how it sounds, that’s what they’re going with.”
