[SMALL UPDATE] [PLEASE READ THIS]
** Small Update to fully controlling the Heating Element with the Switch: **
Dear all, as you notice in the video, to control the Heating Element we can have 2 Things to control it:
- 1. The PID - according to How we Set/Program it.
AND [THIS IS THE MODIFICATION THAT WE NEED] :
- 2. The "ON/OFF SWITCH": As the Oven/Kiln can be On for few to many hours - The best way to connect the Switch is adding it to Cable No.10 - The way SSR works is: It is OFF when No power is connected and it is ON when there is power connected.
So, instead of controlling it Directly the NEGATIVE LINE from the MAIN POWER SOURCE like in the Video (Which works fine, however you do need a good and high capacity switch) - But if you connect the Switch to line No.10, the switch can now "breathe" so much easier as it will only handle few Voltages and Amps. (The Negative line from the power source can now run straight to the Heating element.)
