South of Hell - Hellfernùm (Full Album)

The new album Hellfernùm by the French band South of Hell, released on January 31, 2026 by Great Dane Records, is a brutal and uncompromising dive into old-school death metal with clear influences from bands like Hypocrisy and Deicide.

It's an intense, direct, and energy-filled work, described as "a slap in the face" and "a bomb" by those who have already received physical copies. The sound recaptures the raw essence of 90s/early 2000s death metal, with heavy riffs, relentless blast beats, aggressive guttural vocals, and a production that balances aggression without losing clarity. There are touches of thrash at times and a dark atmosphere that occasionally flirts with blackened elements, but the core is pure old-school death metal.
