Welcome back to our hitchhiking journey from Thailand to Spain, that we completed in 2017. We hope you are all enjoying this amazing adventure with us.

It's time to leave the tiny country of Kyrgyzstan and make our way into to it's vast neighbour, Kazakhstan, where we have nearly 4000 kilometres of mainly desert to hitchhike in order to reach the city of Aktau by the Caspian Sea.

In this episode we travel 520 kilometres from Chaldovar to Turkestan, Kazakhstan's most historical city, but the journey there isn't straight forward. There's a heatwave and for the first time since China we get stuck and nearly give up.
