Drill rig kellybar

Preparing the broken kellybar for welding. Had to torch cut a bevel. Kinda goofed. Had some serrations appear because of not enough preheat. I used a Victor torch with a No.1 tip and my Oxy/Acy pressures at 7/70. The serrations weren't deep enough to worry about. It welded fine. One of the best things for making bevel cuts in any thickness of plate is a good preheat. Sometimes you can get away with little to no heat but if not, it will definitely give you problems. Doesn't hurt to get into the practice of adding a little heat to anything you cut.
