Teruko Yahata is among a dwindling number of survivors of the atomic bomb that was used on her hometown of Hiroshima in the summer of 1945. The 86-year-old is keen to be among the first to see Oppenheimer, the film about the man who led the development of the bomb. After a delay in the release of the Oscar-winning film in Japan, Oppenheimer will start showing in the country on March 29, 2024.
