In this video I explain how and why veganism is a dangerous diet that leads to malnutrition and disease. I share my experience of being vegan for 16 years and my journey of nourishment and recovery. Veganism is a dangerous diet that leads to malnutrition, sickness and conditions such as depression, anxiety, fatigue, anorexia, bulimia, and chronic disease. I talk about the ongoing experience of healing my gut with Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride’s fantastic healing protocol Gut and Psychology Syndrome, GAPS. I also go into some detail as to the most severe and common nutritional deficiencies suffered by vegans and unhealthy vegetarians such as Vitamin B12, Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin K and Zinc deficiency. I also explain why initially vegetarians and vegans feel better on plant based diets and the difference between nourishing animal foods and cleansing plant foods. I not only dispel the myth that a vegan diet is healthy, but I also tackle the myth that a vegan diet is environmentally conscious, explaining why veganism is destructive to both human health and the planet.
Many people become vegetarian or vegan for spiritual reasons. I explain what happens at a nutritional level and why religious orders adopted vegetarian diets. There is no such thing as a healthy vegan. The low-fat nature of vegan diets leads to mental illnesses like anorexia, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder; digestive disorders like constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, bloating and indigestion; allergies; food intolerances, migraines, arthritis, hormonal problems and autoimmune diseases.
