Apple pencil vs smart pen for digital note-taking. Writing on paper vs electronic devices has a number of advantages - but it can be challenging to then convert those handwritten notes to digital form.
The LiveScribe pen balances the ability to write on paper with the conveniences of capturing your notes digitally.

Over the years, I've used the LiveScribe pen as my note-taking capture device for when I wanted to create hand-written notes and didn't have my Apple iPad or Microsoft Surface handy. Or, maybe I just didn't want to have to open them, power them on, worry about the battery - or have the tactile feel of writing on glass.

The LiveScribe smartpen also allows me to share my notes by giving the physical note or sticky note to someone else, but retain a digital copy for myself.
