DO YOU HEAR ME NOW? // Stories To Acknowledge Racial Inequality

Hear My Story continues our series called "Do You Hear Me Now?" -- with stories to help educate and acknowledge the history of racial inequality. We hope that by hearing from those who have personal experience with this issue that it will help us to understand deeper and create a desire to bring change.

“The thing that bothers me the most is when white people think we are delusional to racism it’s just disrespectful.”

Our storyteller this week shares his experiences growing up as a first generation American with dark skin and how he has been affected by racism. He shares the hope he believes there can be if we were to acknowledge that racism still exists and learn to see all people as people and help create a better world.

“People are people and the more we get to know each other the more I think the walls we made will come down and it will create a safer place for everybody.”
We hope these stories will help bring an end now to the racism that so many have and still do experience. Hear his story and use it to help bring a voice to the inequality that still exists.
