Exploring Akihabara Food Shopping Anime and Japanese Pancakes - vlog #034 part 1

On today's agenda we'll be exploring Akihabara in Tokyo, Japan. As a kid who grew up on anime and manga, I always dreamed of visiting the "holy land." Jokes aside, I'm really visiting Akihabara to go to Yodobashi Akiba in order to get Canon G7X fixed so I can continue to vlog! The flip screen became unhinged due to a missing screw. Yodobashi Akiba is actually the world's largest electronic store, and I can attest that it is massive!!! Don't be fooled though, this store sells almost everything besides produce/groceries and is a great place to shop at especially for electronics.

We'll also be doing a food tour around Akihabara and the first stop is Pablo mini which is actually a chain that serves some delicious cheese tarts. As the name suggest the "mini" serves more individual size portions. If you go to the regular Pablo store you can buy bigger cheesecakes. These delicious treats have a crumbly crunchy crust and a sweet cream cheese filling. The Pablo mini has 5-6 different cheese tarts and some of the flavors are seasonal.

Inside Yodobashi Akiba on the top floor where a bunch of restaurants reside, we'll be eating at The French Toast Factory and get the infamous Japanese Jiggly Pancake. These pancakes are very different from normal pancakes which are usually more flat and thin. I've seen so many videos of these over the internet and today is the day when I finally can try them to see if the hype is real.

Afterward we'll be checking out the other restaurants on the outside of Yodobashi such as Beard Papa, which specializes in soft crispy cream puffs and take a stroll to through the Square Enix Cafe which is a gaming themed cafe that changes there theme and menu. During the time that I went it was a Dragon Quest cafe, and from previous pictures that I've seen it was also a Final Fantasy cafe before.
