Hobby King Bixler / Sky Surfer - Milwaukee Lakefront #11 HD Keychain Cam

Finally put together the Bixler and took her up for her maiden video flight today. She's all stock except Hobbywing Pentium 40A esc (overkill but had one already) and APC 6x4 EP prop. Using a 2200mah 40C lipo & DX8, AR600 & TM100 Telemetry module w/ Altitude alarm set to 400ft to make sure I don't go higher as well as a Canmore GPS Data Logger to create custom dashware gauges of position, speed, altitude & heading.

Bixler reinforced w/ CF under frame & elevator & rudder as well as extreme packing tape on nose, under fuse & wings. AUW w/ lipo & full electronics was 28oz so great wingloading for gliding around.

Coming from a Radian I must say I lke the Bixler more. It's smaller so easier to transport, has ailerons so more manurable & can be setup for flapperons/spoilers which I did, yet w/ dihydral she can turn w/ just rudder & use a bit of flaps to give her a tad more lift to glide/thermal.

Testing camera placement & GPS & telemetry gear. Next time I'll orient the camera higher to get more more horizon vs. ground but waiting for wide angle lens to do that. Telemetry & especially altimeter alarms are awesome. GPS data loger needed tunning to get accurate info but I think I'm getting there.
