Toyota Hilux Hybrid Confirmed! Coming in 2024, Standard on SR5 & Rogue With 10% Better Economy

Toyota has confirmed that the Hilux will get a Diesel Hybrid engine in 2024 based on the 2.8-litre unit with a 10 percent fuel economy improvement.

The 48-volt hybrid motor will be standard for the 2024 Hilux SR5 & Hilux Rogue 4x4 double-cab models and optional on the 2024 Hilux SR 4x4 double-cab.

Toyota also says that the hybrid tech will enhance on- and off-road performance, so there may well be a small power and torque bump from today’s 150kW (201 hp) and 500Nm outputs. 3500kg towing is maintained.
