Lou Gramm, the former singer of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee Foreigner tells the story of ad libbing the band's 1978 Top 3 rock classic on the spot. "Hot Blooded" would go on to be a Platinum selling song and made Foreigner one of the premier arena rock bands of the late 70s and 80s. Cowritten by band guitarist, Mick Jones, when the band recorded it in the studio the song was so scorching Mike Jones' amp caught on fire during his guitar solo.
