The story of one of my favorite songs ever the dark and atmospheric 80s top 10 hit, Only the Lonely by the Motels…over the course of interviewing artists about their greatest songs, I’ve come upon my some of my favorite songs ever. This is one of those interviews. A song that has stuck with me since I first heard it at 6 years of age. Lead singer Martha Davis and saxophonist Marty Jourard tell the story of crafting the song and the dark side of fame. This New Wave band is still together.
