Seneca Lake
Off the 60 highway in the tree-laden mountains of northeastern Arizona are the remains of a once-promising resort.
Seneca lake had big plans, cabins, riding stables, a golf course, fishing, camping, hiking and outdoor enthusiasts playground. However it never really took off and defaulting on payments cemented the fate of this roadside retreat.
The main headquarters building, as well as a petrol station and four cabins, remain. Empty shells of their former glory, but still very interesting to have a peek through.
The overgrown campgrounds look forlorn and tired, void of laughter and joy. The lake’s waters ripple gently in the wind causing the empty docks to undulate and sway solemnly.
Behind it, all a large dry waterfall resides quietly over the vast canyon clear of visitors.
This place is very unique and well worth the little explore, we hope you enjoy the video.
