Cerro Gordo Revised -Volunteering after the fire in June 2020 & exploring this amazing ghost town

We were invited, by Brent, to help with the cleanup after the fire, and were given full permission and access to all the buildings and areas of his wonderful ghost town.

The original video was our very first attempt at YouTube. We filmed off the cuff with no mic. Hence the wind noise was horrific. We decided to re-edit and do some voice-overs. Although nowhere near perfect, we think it's a lot better.

We spent the weekend at Cerro Gordo Ghost Town a few weeks ago because it has recently gone through some tough times. We were granted access to stay in the town and help clean up debris after a devastating fire claimed three historic buildings.

On a whim, we decided to try our hand at making a video to add to our travel blog pinintheatlas.com.

This is the result of us diving right in and seeing what happens. So right up front, we will apologize for all of the "Wow's, Fantastic's, and wind noise." Other than that, we hope you do find the content interesting and an excellent platform for us to continue to build on.
