Working With Canvas And Glue, AKA "Poor-Man's Fiberglass."

In this video I'll share what I've learned first hand working with canvas and glue (AKA - Poor man's fiberglass) over 2 inch foam as I built my custom micro camper.

I'll explain the challenges that I experienced and why I ultimately decided to shift gears and skin my walls with plywood instead. I'll show you close ups of the test project that I built using foam covered with canvas and glue (PMF) that lead me to make that decision.

I'll also show you the finished plywood walls, trim and roof of my micro camper up close. I will wrap the video up with my thoughts and opinion about using canvas and glue (PMF) on future projects...

SPOILER ALERT : In this video I will explain why I think the "poor-man's fiberglass/ Foamy community" needs to step forward and start showing the fit and finish of their projects up close so that viewers can see clearly what the end products looks like. PMF and foam is a solid choice and building technique for many people and projects. Step forward, be proud and show the community up close how your project turned out.

PLEASE NOTE: I've deleted a number of "foamy Purists" nasty comments on several of my videos. There is no need for people to be rude, judgmental and to attack the choices that I or anyone else makes on what products we use or how we choose to build a camping trailer. YouTube is a platform that allows us to share our experiences, help others and collaborate as a community.
