About the project:

• REWIND had recently acquired a two floor office space in St. Albans, which was in a state of major disrepair. A turnkey solution was required, and so they called upon SEC Interiors to deliver an innovative space planning and fit-out service that would see their offices transformed into a fully operational, modern working environment.

• The first phase of the project saw the existing offices stripped out and made ready for the bulk of the refurbishment works. The ceilings were repaired and left exposed, then painted in a dark finish, with LED lighting panels, spotlights and HVAC systems being installed throughout, creating a modern, industrial style effect.

• Space planning was key to the shaping of this project, with REWIND wanting to incorporate a variety of breakout areas to suit a mixture of work scenarios. Carpet tiled flooring was laid throughout, with some areas benefitting from accented colour tiles to further define the areas.

• Full height glass partitions were installed to create both the reception and boardroom areas on the first floor. Executive style office furniture was supplied to finish the boardroom, and a variety of stylish breakout and standard furniture types including workstations and chairs were supplied to the open plan areas of the office.

• Kitchen tea-points were installed to both floors, with the larger first floor tea-point featuring a breakfast bar complete with break-out furniture and pendant lighting.

• A full height, LED back lit feature wall was embedded within the corridor dry-lined wall on the first floor, along with the installation of an oak block wall cladded feature in the reception area, helping to set both spaces apart.

• This fit-out highlights a full range of interior refurbishment solutions, and represents one of the best projects that SEC Interiors has ever delivered. The offices have undergone a breathtaking transformation, having evolved from a dilapidated shell into a brand defining work-space that will serve REWIND for many years to come.
