Ken Fisher on Inflation: Don’t Fret Yet.

Should investors be worried about inflation? It’s something that people are continually asking Ken Fisher, investor and founder of Fisher Investments. He takes his stance from the advice of a woman who lived to be 122 years old: “If you can’t do anything about it, don’t worry about it.”

Investors have been living in a world with low inflation for a long time. Ken says that in situations where rampant inflation is a problem, it rises gently at first before really taking off. In that early phase, stocks generally do well. Stocks do poorly when inflation really starts to pick up steam, but Ken doesn’t think that’s happening now. Ken’s view is “just be patient.”
