How To Create ZIP File On Windows 10 Or 11 For Laptop/PC

In this video, I will show you how to create a zip file on your windows computer.

First, you want to open up your file folder. Then, you want to go to the folder location of the files you want to zip.

In this example, I will be choosing the “video” folder.

Once you are there, you can hold the “control key” and left click on multiple files that you want to zip. If you just want to zip the whole folder, you can press “control and A key” to do so.

Right click on any of the selected files. You can either choose “Compress to” and select Zip File. If you are on windows 11, you can choose “show more options”, then select “Send to” and choose “compressed zip folder”.

Click on it and a new zip folder will be added.

This may take a while, depending on the size of your files. You can change the name of the folder to whatever you like.

The files that you choose are still there and Windows just made an additional compressed copy of it for you.

If you click on the zip file, you will see all the files you selected inside.

To unzip it, right click on the folder, then choose “extract all”, then select the location of where you want them to be and choose extract. That is all.
