How to Change Beliefs: 4-Step Neuro-Semantic NLP technique

Changing beliefs is easy and natural. Do you want to know one of the techniques that I use on nearly a daily basis to change beliefs in my life?

The traditional NLP belief change pattern using submodalities is unnatural, slow and often ineffective, but the fact is that there are dozens and dozens of ways to change beliefs and belief change happens in nearly every single conversation that you have!

At any time that someone tells you something new and you think, "Yes, that's true!" you are experiencing a moment of BELIEF CREATION.

You may have even done that one or two times since you've started reading this article and it wasn't anything difficult or unnatural. In fact it is a very natural occurrence.

And the opposite is also true. Taking beliefs and turning them into mere thoughts (we can think things without necessarily believing in them) is another process that occurs just as easily and just as naturally.

This happens whenever someone is telling you something that they believe and you think "No, I don't think thats true". It doesn't matter if you say it out loud, say it in your head, or just get a feeling... you are disconfirming their belief and turning it into just a thought.

One of my favorite Belief Change Techniques:

1. As you go throughout your day pay attention to your internal thinking/feeling/beliefs.

2. Quality control your unresourceful beliefs and apply a state of "No!": Ask yourself questions about that belief such as "Does this belief serve me? Does it enhance my life? Do I like this belief? Do I want to keep this?"
When you continually apply a state of negation/disconfirmation to your beliefs they just turn into powerless 'thoughts'.

3. Ask yourself "If I don't believe that, what would I like to believe in its place? What would I rather believe? What would be a more resourceful belief? (Links to more resources below)

4. As you generate a more resourceful belief, ask quality control questions and install it with a "Yes!" i.e. "Does this belief serve me? Do I want to keep this? Does this make my life better? Is that better than what I had in its place earlier?

That's it!

Don't let the simplicity of this take away the actual power that exists in there. These quality control questions are a simple way that you can take a belief and turn it into a mere thought and then take more resourceful thoughts and turn them into beliefs that drive your neurology.

I hope that you will use your power of confirmation and disconfirmation effectively to make your self and your perceptions more resourceful as you move out into the future.

This is something I use on nearly a daily basis and has had a huge impact on my life.
