Kevin Durant Puts Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant as 1A and 1B All-Time

Are you surprised that so many NBA players have Kobe up at the top of their all-time lists? I'm not. Here's some of their arguments for why Kobe, Shaq, and others get so much respect for their dominance around the league.

Note that some of the previous generations' players like Wilt, Russell, Baylor, and West, are left out of these discussions because these younger players and fans think they're in a separate category entirely. The argument is that the league was so different then, without shot clocks, certain stats being recorded, completely different rules for dribbling and scoring (no 3-point line or palming allowed), and so on, so it's hard to compare those players on a skill level. A lot of good ball handlers today are blatantly carrying the ball every possession so you can't assume Jerry West wouldn't be just as good or better than today's guards. Wilt was the Shaq of his time, and probably better than Shaq. But we can go on and on about the difference between eras and it's still going to be subjective. What's your top 5 or top 10 if we draw the line at Kareem being the oldest candidate? Assume the league started around the late 70s or early 1980s.
