CPU Delidding Tutorial - i7 4790k (Vice method) & Liquid Metal

A quick tutorial on how to delid your i7-4790K. Should work for other Intel CPUs too.

WARNING : THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY.

All steps shown in this tutorial are to be done at the risk of the person performing them ONLY. I am not liable if you kill your CPU :)

PC specifications :

Processor : Intel i7-4790k (Devil's Canyon / Haswell) @ 4.5GHz (1.25 vCore)
Motherboard : MSI Z97S SLI Plus
RAM : 16GB (4x 4GB DDR3-1600 Kingston)
CPU Cooler : ID Cooling FrostFlow 240 L
Case : NZXT H440
PSU : Cooler Master CX650M Semi Modular PSU

Temperature improvements I achieved : 12 deg C lower under load, running OCCT and POV-Ray stress tests.

Your mileage may vary - I just happen to have a not-very-OC-able chip.
