For more than 150 years the SVITZER group and specialist subsidiary SVITZER Salvage have earned their reputation in the field of international salvage.

It is a history of success. This DVD shows just a few of those salvage assignments and the skills that underlie them. It includes the spectacular rescue of the ELWOOD MEAD from the Guernsey coast in the seventies, the salvage of the EUROPEAN GATEWAY, and numerous tanker rescues during the Iran-Iraq war in the eighties. SVITZER Salvage was on the spot and saved many, among them crude oil tanker HAVEN. Rescuing precious cargo from a Russian Ro-Ro at Vera Cruz in Mexico and the removal of Drill Barge C201 on Lake Maracaibo in Venezuela are also examples of the core business of SVITZER Salvage. The company watches over everything afloat, on all seas of the world.
