METAMORFOSE !! Dry-docking Seagoing Historical Tug ELBE 2009

Extensive dry-docking period of the famous/historical and powerfull seagoing tug ELBE at v/d Brink Shipyard Pernis/Rotterdam. Special attention for the original riveting process during this dockingperiod !!
This famous most powerful (at the 50th. years) tug, built for SMIT INTERNATIONAL in 1957, has been completely restored in it's original execution, after having served as an oceangoing tugboat worldwide, a pilot station (MARYLAND) in Canada and as the famous GREENPEACE for this organisation.
In 2002, she returned to the Netherlands and now she is back at her original homeport MAASSLUIS near Rotterdam as a floating maritime monument.under the supervision of
Stichting Maritime Collectie Rijnmond.
