Most people think the ampersand in excel is just used to link text. While that is a use case, it's just scratching the surface as to what Excel can do. So let me show you 5 practical use cases of the & ampersand in Excel. First it can be used to replace the CONCAT and TEXTJOIN functions. Second, it can be used to create dynamic titles in an Excel file and Excel charts. Third, we can make formulas flexible. For example, with an XLOOKUP, instead of just having one lookup value, we're able to add multiple lookup values with the ampersand. Fourth, we're able to create approximate matches with the wildcard feature. Finally, we can create control panels to calculate things like the total sum revenue in each worksheet.
