Easy Guitar Solo Techniques - Lead Guitar Solo Techniques.

I break down EVERY lead guitar technique here in this video. Everything from hammer on and pull off's, bending strings on an electric (or acoustic for that matter), vibrato, sweep picking, alternate picking, adjusting your pick angle, tremolo picking, and more!

This is a loaded lesson where we really cover a lot of stuff - everything from the wide vibrato of guitar players like Stevie Ray Vaughn to Zakk Wylde to how to play the intro to Dick Dale's surf rock theme to the movie Pulp Fiction!

We are going to be building some serious finger strength in this beginner lesson. String bending may seem like a super difficult technique, but I’ll break it down for you the right way. Here’s the secret. It’s all about using more than 1 finger to bend the string.

I'm also covering some pretty serious ground on the guitar technique aspect of the soloing game - you MUST have your right hand placed on the bridge of the guitar, with your pick angle held correctly. Make sure you learn the proper way to pick your guitar! I see it all to often where a beginner guitarist plateaus way too early because their right hand is holding them back.

There’s some super important vibrato knowledge in this lesson. Vibrato is one of those subtle things that can sound pretty scary if it’s done incorrectly. We’re going to study a few different styles to make sure you’ve got it!

Playing scales is super important for soloing, even in just the physical aspect of playing single notes on the higher strings. I’m gonna show you 2 different scales in this beginner guitar lesson. The classic minor pentatonic, and a “warm up scale” of my own creation that will really get your right and left hand cooking.

All it takes to be a good lead guitar player, is to know a few of the lead guitar “tricks” and techniques. That in combination with a basic scale knowledge, you’re good to go! Every technique or “trick” I discuss in this video is super important to the world of lead guitar, so make sure you get all these down!
