Caligula vs Poseidon

Emperor Caligula, unable to cross the sea due to a storm, declared war… on Poseidon, the god of the sea.
In a fit of rage, he ordered his legionaries to hurl their spears into the waves and then collect “spoils of war” — seashells and seaweed.
