“I still can’t believe we scored tickets to this J-Wizz concert!”

Maddison screamed and threw her hands in the air. I loved J-Wizz and my bedroom was adorned with his posters. I was his biggest fan! My other friends Monica, Claudette and Eden were there as well.

Right before intermission J-Wizz threw his jacket into the air. Being the tallest among my friends, I reached up and grabbed it.

“I got it! I got it!”

That was the most perfect night of my life.

One afternoon while listening to the radio and hanging out at my house, my friends and I heard the most amazing news ever! J-Wizz was hosting a competition. All you had to do was purchase a ticket to win a chance to spend two days with him. The winner was to be announced at his club next Friday.

My friends and I rushed to the mall to purchase the ticket. By the time we got there the lines were really, really really long. We finally got our tickets two hours later. We decided to purchase our outfits for the announcement of the winner since we were already at the mall.

While at the mall, Eden pointed out one of our classmates from the college we attended.

“Hey isn’t that Alan?”

“The nerd who has the biggest crush on Kimmy? Where is he?” Maddison looked around and searched the crowd for him.

“Look he’s coming this way,” Claudette made kissing noises at me.

“I only have eyes for one person, and it definitely isn’t for Alan Weiner!”

Alan approached us and greeted everyone before turning to me, “I take it that you heard about the J-Wizz competition?”

“You taketh right,” Monica giggled.

I shot her an annoyed glance.
Alana continued, “I’ll be at the club next Friday, maybe I could ask you for a dance.” He smiled at me exposing his crooked front teeth.

“Maybe…. Look, we have a few more things to get. We’ll catch up some other time ok?” I pulled my friends in the opposite direction.

“See you next Friday,” Alan called behind us.

By the time I got home, I was exhausted! I crawled into bed and dreamt about the perfect two days that J-Wizz and I were going to spend together.
