How to Learn Coding from ABSOLUTE ZERO! (If I had to start over in 2021...)
In this video I talk about how I would learn coding if I had to learn it all over again from scratch! I explain the language I'd pick, the methods I'd use to learn, and the mindset I would have. If you're considering to start coding, please watch this first!

I'm going to cover exactly what I would do if I had to learn programming from scratch, TODAY.
If you haven't done so already, I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend watching these two videos first.
Especially the "truth about coding" video, it's definitely going to set you at ease if you have any reservations about coding (as in, you think it's too hard etc.)
Also for a bit of motivation, watch my "why you should learn to code" video, it will bring to light the importance of learning how to code.
A quick overview of this video, I'm going to cover the following things:
What language I would start with and why.
Python, lots of support/libraries, you can do a lot with it (scripts/ml/webdev)
Very easy to learn, some difficult/troublesome things are abstracted away from you and the syntax is very easy, which makes it good for a new person
What materials I would recommend and why.
CodeWithMosh Python course, it's absolutely FREE on Youtube (paid more organized)
I've done a lot of tutorials and his is my favorite. Most curated, real world nuance
At the end, he walks through 3 projects that you can do, automation, ML, webdev
In the end, I'd recommend modifying these projects a bit, making them your own, github, resume
Side note: for my CS degree, I used stuff from his ML and django projects to do my capstone
How to study and practice
Take your time.
Do NOT try to memorize. Understand.
Don't rush through the material. Get comfortable and take your time. Get coffee, etc.
In the end, after you implement everything I talk about here, you'll have an OK understanding of python and coding in general, as well as a couple things you can put on your resume that might look something like this:
